September 1, 2026 – 6:00 pm

Will F. opened the meeting by thanking Rick G. for hosting.
A get well card was distributed for members to sign for Richard Knight.

FINANCE – Richard B.
There is $5089.92 in the bank.Store inventory is $356 which is the same as last month.
The clothing/apparel order was submitted on August 4. It takes about 2-3 weeks to complete.
Richard B. should have the order for pick up at the Kidde Fenwal show on September 12 or you will can make arrangements to have the order picked up from Richard B. in Natick.

The Club voted last month to donate $100 to the American Cancer Society. Richard B. will have an envelope available for members’ donations until noon at the Kidde Fenwall show on
September 12. If anyone wants to make a donation, please see Richard at the Kidde Fenwall show.

MURPHY’S CRUISE NIGHT
Will F. reminded members that Murphy’s Eats & Treats cruise night is every Saturday night through October 17.

KIDDE-FENWAL
Peter K. addressed members regarding the upcoming Kidde-Fenwal show. Everything is better than expected. There are over 80 sponsors. Show is getting very popular. Peter is looking for volunteers to help with the sponsor awards. There are 80 sponsor trophies and many don’t show up to choose a favorite car. There are also trophies for first, second and third in four categories. And, there are about 10 memorial trophies and 30 to 40 volunteer awards for anyone that helps out. That is a total of 120-130 awards equal to one out of three cars to
receive an award. Chris D. volunteered to man the sponsor trophy table for the day. Peter K. plans to announce
winners beginning at 12:30. Sponsors should start selecting the winners around 10-10:30 am.
Additional help is needed for parking. Dave M. has volunteered again but others are needed.
Registration is set up.
There will be two tool cabinets donated this year It is estimated that one cabinet retails for $6-12k and the other cabinet is about $3k. These are manufactured and donated by Lista Cabinets.

Peter K. to hold about 15 spaces along the tree line for club members. See above Car Cruise to Show for details. Expect to arrive about 7:30 am to park together.

BENCHMARK SENIOR LIVING
The Modifiers will attend a quick car show at Benchmark Senior Living, 40 Clapboardtree St Norwood. The show will be 3:00-4:00 pm. Mark F. will provide snacks. Interested members will meet at 2:30 pm at Country Ski & Sport, 335 Providence Hwy (Rte 1/across from Lambert’s), Westwood. More details at the October meeting.

HOLIDAY/BBQ EVENTS
The group agreed to wait until Spring’s dust off event for a BBQ.
Further information on the holiday party will be discussed at the October 7 meeting. Richard B. mentioned that members should think about thinks you have that you would like to donate to the silent auction.

NEW/OLD BUSINESS
Craig H. – Pizza Wagon, School St., Framingham (Saxonville) is interested in doing a cruisenight. The lot can hold about 25-30 cars. The owner would provide a slice, drink or small ice
cream for anyone who displays a car. Starting September 9 from 4 pm to dusk, members are encouraged to bring their car to try it out.

Art T. – Art can bring two guests to the Roadsters fall meeting to meet Dave ? who builds customs cars. Dave works on cars from all over the US. You pay in three checks but nothing is
in writing until the custom car is complete. Richard B. has been there 2-3 times. The shop is impeccable. The garage houses about 40 low mileage cars. Geoff B. saw a car at Hebert’s Candy Mansion that looked impeccable. He is a really nice guy. He has a collection of famous hot rods as well. If interested, please contact Art T.

Kimball’s Lancaster cruise night is every Friday night through October 9.

Will F./Nancy T – We will coordinate an ice cream cruise (or two, three) next year. There are several in the area: Erickson’s in Maynard/Stow and Uhlman’s in Westboro recommended by
Geoff B.

Wheels of Wellesley booklet. Per Richard B., this year the ads fell a little short from what was expected. It is $125 for an ad or $200 for a full page ad. The booklet makes about $3k for the
club. Will F. would like to start earlier. Both Will and Richard would like club members to help to sell advertising. No money needs to be collected as Richard will send a bill. It was also suggested to set up Venmo.

Will F. and Richard B. to meet with the committee in September. The committee would like to do a Top Gun theme with a similar Porsche and Kawasaki motorcycle.
