{"id":449,"date":"2022-11-02T19:47:09","date_gmt":"2022-11-02T19:47:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/modifiersofwellesleycarclub.com\/?page_id=449"},"modified":"2025-03-26T17:26:21","modified_gmt":"2025-03-26T17:26:21","slug":"about-the-modifiers-of-wellesley-car-club","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/modifiersofwellesleycarclub.com\/?page_id=449","title":{"rendered":"About the Modifiers Car Club"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-left has-medium-font-size wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Modifiers of Wellesley Car Club have our roots in the late 1950&#8217;s with a group of teenagers at Wellesley High School that were immersed in the hot rod car culture. <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-left has-medium-font-size wp-block-heading\"><strong>The club started out as the <a href=\"https:\/\/modifiersofwellesleycarclub.com\/?page_id=123\">Defenders Car Club<\/a> for 56-61. After the members graduated from Wellesley High School and started jobs and families it became more difficult both financially and time wise to keep up with the club and the club eventually became forgotten. <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-left has-medium-font-size wp-block-heading\"><strong>As the next round of Wellesley High School boys <strong>62-66<\/strong><\/strong> <strong>stated to get interested in custom cars and get their licenses the <a href=\"https:\/\/modifiersofwellesleycarclub.com\/?page_id=154\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/modifiersofwellesleycarclub.com\/?page_id=154\">Modifiers Car Club<\/a> came into being. And like the Defenders the members graduated from high school and went their own ways.
